Like many other property owners, the Tendercare system wanted to take advantage of the historically low interest rates on mortgages. Taking the opportunity to refinance its assisted-living properties under low-interest Housing and Urban Development (HUD) loans, Tendercare called Gourdie-Fraser to assist in preparation of the ALTA surveys necessary for the financing program.

Gourdie-Fraser's surveying crews fanned out across Pennsylvania, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Ohio to collect data from 19 sites. In the office GFA researched 100-year and 500-year floodplain data to complete the ALTAs as required by HUD. All 19 ALTA surveys were completed and delivered to the client 40 calendar days from the initial verbal order. GFA has also completed multiple ALTA survey orders for Tendercare properties located throughout the State of Michigan.
