Specialty Water Treatment, Charter Township of Union (Mount Pleasant, MI)Union Township now has two iron removal plants as part of its drinking water infrastructure. This particular system is designed to reduce the iron content from 1.5 PPM to less than 0.1 PPM. The automation and instrumentation was coordinated with filter manufacturer and the Township’s instrumentation contractor. The plant is designed to fit entirely within the existing well house building without any additions. Both the internal layout and site layout designs were commensurate for the addition of a third filter and associated equipment in the future.
